A fully connected new warehouse for an event production company

The challenge

Our client is an event production company in Hertfordshire. As the business grew, it took on a new warehouse alongside its existing building. The new space needed a complete network, Wi-Fi, CCTV and door access in place before the team moved in, connected seamlessly to the existing building, and secure enough to protect high-value equipment. It all had to fit around a phased fit-out, working alongside the project team and the electrical contractor.

What we did

We planned the whole installation with the client’s project team, so the network was ready before the warehouse came into use.

1. Structured cabling and a new network cabinet, with 103 data points for desks, Wi-Fi, cameras and door access.
2. Armoured fibre linking the new warehouse to the existing building, fully tested, so both sites work as one network.
3. A high-capacity core network with redundant power and a 5G backup internet connection, plus Wi-Fi 7 throughout. More than 60 CCTV cameras, including AI-assisted cameras and talk-down speakers, and intercom and card-based door access, all managed from one system.

The results

The new warehouse is now up and running, with the network, Wi-Fi, cameras and door access in place as the team moved in. Both buildings work as one network, and the whole site’s cameras and doors can be checked from one app. With a 5G backup connection and redundant power, the site stays online even if the main internet line has a problem.
